Herndon Swim League Information - Please Read This Page First

Jenna Van Camp - Kingston Chase/Herndon High School - Qualifies for the Olympic Trials!

Hello Swimming Families -

Jenna Van Camp, who swims in the summer for Kingston Chase and who is currently swimming with Herndon has not only qualified for states (at the first meet of the season), achieved an All American time and broken a team record, but she has also QUALIFIED FOR THE OLYMPIC TRIALS!! She will be competing in Omaha over the summer for a spot on the US Olympic Team and we couldn't be more proud of her and her accomplishments.

As you can imagine, the road to the Olympics is a costly one. To that end, the high school team would like to show our support of Jenna and her family by hosting a fundraising dinner this week - Wednesday, January 18 at 6 PM. Like our other fundraising dinners, this one will be held at the Herndon United Methodist Church and will cost $5 per person or $15 per family. Like the others, we are asking for food donations and for volunteer help. We are planning to serve lasagna, salad, bread & dessert.

The proceeds from this fundraiser will go to help cover just some of the expenses involved in getting Jenna to the Olympic Trials. We encourage you to spread the word!! Please tell all of your friends and neighbors to come to the dinner and support Jenna in this dream! And show your support by signing up to volunteer (kids & parents), by donating food, and by coming to the dinner.

The Herndon Swim League (HSL) is a league made up of pools in the following neighborhoods: Bradley Farm,  Four Seasons, Foxfield. Herndon Community Center, Hunters Creek, Kingston Chase, Kingstream, Meadows, Reflection and Sterling Park.

Please read the parents letter to understand the league philosophy and parents responsibilities and what is planned for the year, and to learn more about the league.

An important program administered by the Herndon Swim League is our scholarship program.  Up to six graduating seniors are awarded scholarships, more than are given by any other swim league in the area.  The deadline for application is July 2.  Papa John’s donates pizzas sold at meets throughout the season to help raise money for this scholarship fund.

This site includes the schedule, details about the all-league end of year meets, how to reach the coaches and league representatives, how to find the pools, meet results as they become available, current records the league rules and responsibilities of the officials.  Also included is a copy of the league’s Code of Conduct and a document about our Organization.   You may download a copy of the dual meet sheet here or a meet sheet for a tri-meet here.
